On Dec 15, 2022, Steve Pulice, Clarksburg's Fire Chief was made the City's interim City Manager by vote of the City Council to replace interim city manager Mark Kiddy who resigned the position to return to his role as Clarksburg's Chief of Police, after serving over seven months in the position. The City is currently continuing its search for a permanent City Manager.
