The Fire Civil Service Commission meets on an as-needed basis. Meetings are normally held at 4:00 p.m.

The FCSC regulates and oversees the rules established by the Commission. The FCSC is responsible for testing for new applicants within the Fire Department, the testing for promotions within the Fire Department, hears grievances filed by Fire Department personnel, if unresolved at appropriately-taken grievance procedure levels.
