Press Release Council meetings online


The City of Clarksburg implements video recordings of City Council meetings. The City began recording their meetings December 1, 2016. The meetings can be viewed from the City's website (City Hall - Agenda, Minutes & Videos) or visit Council authorized the City Manager to enter into an agreement with lllumedia, LLC through March 2, 2017. 

Over the past year, Mayor Goings initiated several sub-committees to meet and discuss various ways to continue the City's philosophy of ope┬Ěn government. Mayor Goings stated "The City has always made information available to the public via the City's website and by other means." By recently implementing the video recording of the City Council meetings and having these recordings available within 24 hours of the meeting is just another way of showing the City's commitment to provide access to the public. 
City Council meets on the first and third Thursdays of every month at 7pm to conduct the City's business. Council also meets at 6:30 pm in a work session to review the agenda. Both meetings are open to the public. 
City Manager, Martin Howe stated "The City is very transparent and offers a wealth of information and documents to the public on-line. This recent addition of the City Council meetings is just another way to provide access to the public." 
The City is also currently working with Time Warner Cable to have the council meetings aired on Channel 18, Public Access Channel.
