Dale Avenue Sanitary Sewer Collection System Improvement Project

The bid opening was held today, June 1st 2017 in the City Manager’s conference room.  Eight (8) bids in total were received.

The project is located on Dale Avenue between South Chestnut Street and Sumner Street. Construction will primarily consist of the installation of 240 linear feet of 24 inch PVC pipe, 100 linear feet of 4 inch PVC pipe, 3 manholes 60 inches in diameter, 120 linear feet of concrete sidewalk repair, 220 linear feet of street and driveway repair, and other miscellaneous items.

Clarksburg Sanitary Board will consider awarding the bid at their next regular meeting which is set to take place at 3:30 PM on Tuesday, June 13, 2017.

The pre-construction meeting for the Dale Avenue Sanitary System Improvement Project took place within the City Manager’s Conference Room Friday, June 23, 2017.  At that time, a notice to proceed was issued which governs a mid to late July 2017 start date.

The project, located on Dale Avenue between South Chestnut Street and Sumner Street, will primarily consist of the installation of 240 linear feet of 24 inch PVC pipe, 100 linear feet of 4 inch PVC pipe, 3 manholes 60 inches in diameter, 120 linear feet of concrete sidewalk repair, 220 linear feet of street and driveway repair, and other miscellaneous items.

The Sanitary Board awarded the bid at its Tuesday, June 13th meeting to Hull’s Contracting out of French Creek, WV in the amount of $223,950.
