Proclamation of World Pancreatic Cancer Day

The City of Clarksburg recognizes November 17th as "World Pancreatic Cancer Day" in Clarksburg, West Virginia.

November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month. Pancreatic cancer is the seventh most common cause of cancer-related death in men and women across the world. In 2016, an estimated 53,070 people in the United States will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and 41,780 will die from the disease.

You, your business, your club, your group, etc. are all invited to WEAR PURPLE on Thursday, November 17th in commemoration of WORLD PANCREATIC CANCER DAY. Take pictures, take selfies, etc. and post on the Facebook page: Pancreatic Cancer Action Network – West Virginia.
