Pictured above is the cabin which is currently located in Upshur County, WV

Over the past several months the City had opted to abandon the cabin project.  The City Manager was tasked with the disposition of the cabin.  The cabin was originally placed out for sealed bids with a minimum bid of $10,000.  The City received multiple inquires but ultimately no bids were submitted.  The City moved forward with placing the cabin on govdeals.com with no minimum bid required.  City Manager, Martin Howe had previously stated, “We are confident the cabin will sell and are very optimistic that the amount of bids as well as the dollar amount would increase on the final day of bidding.”  As of Friday, December 26, 2014 the bidding came to a close with the final bid being submitted for $17,500.  Howe stated “The City will not release the purchasers name until the transaction has been finalized.”  He continued to say, “We believe the future use will be beneficial to many and we believe once disclosed many would agree.”
