Mayor Catherine Goings congratulated them and stated, “Welcome to the City of Clarksburg, as a new employee of the City of Clarksburg, but more importantly thank you for your commitment to our City.  The service that you provide is something that we hope we don’t have to use, but it is comforting to know that you are there to protect us.”

Vice Mayor Jim Malfregeot continued, “Congratulations gentlemen, you are both top notch men I am confident you will do a good job protecting our City.”

City Manager Martin Howe concluded “It is my pleasure to bring you into the City and we expect great things from both of you.  It is a family tradition we’re finding within our Fire Department.  The legacy is carried on and this will definitely be your family as well and you will have your individual families for your support.  Welcome to the City of Clarksburg and we look forward to you being great employees.”

Both Firefighters will now be required to go through a three (3) year apprenticeship program.
