Clarksburg Fire Department Swear In: Joe Keough

The City of Clarksburg Fire Department is proud to announce that Joe Keough has been officially sworn in as a Permanent Captain.  Joe represents the third generation of Keough’s which has proudly served the Clarksburg Fire Department, and is one (1) of five (5) firefighters in history to be serving at the same time as his son, Probationary Firefighter, Joshua Keough.  The ceremony, which took place in the City Council Chambers, was filled with many Clarksburg Firefighters and representatives from the City of Clarksburg.

Chief Rick Scott introduced Joe to those in attendance, by explaining that he has spent several of dedication with the Clarksburg Fire Department and that due to the development of his leadership skills, he has earned his title of Captain.  Shortly after being acknowledged for his accomplishments, Keough was sworn in by City Clerk, Annette Wright.

City Manager, Martin Howe stated, “It is valuable to have such dedication from a local family.  We are gratitude for your service to the City and for the Keough family legacy.”
