Close to $2 Million in Contributions Committed to Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center from Capital Campaign
The Capital Campaign members and Cultural Foundation of Harrison County presented the City of Clarksburg and Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center with a $1,181,350 check today, Friday, May 24, 2019. The Capital Campaign to date has raised $1.9 million.
A Capital Campaign was initiated by City Administration in 2016 to raise private contributions from individuals, corporations and foundations to support the development of the Robinson Grand. In addition to, the City utilized Series A Bonds, along with Historic and Federal Tax Credits.
Capital Campaign Co-Chair Michael D’annunzio stated, “My wife and I were asked to join this project a little over 2 years ago. It was easy to get involved with because of the positive impact you could see the project would have in the short-term and long-term. To partner with the Harrison County Cultural Foundation seemed like a natural fit to really accomplish those goals. They have been a great partner and it has been a thrill to be a part of. As you can see our community has been impacted in many positive ways.”
The Cultural Foundation of Harrison County served as the conduit for funds by accepting, managing and disbursing Capital Campaign contributions.
The Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center opened August 2018 and offers a diverse array of productions and programs that engage seniors, adults, teens, children, schools and community organizations throughout the region.
