Woof and Dargon

Woof and Dargon Gaming is Clarksburg’s premier locale game store. Managed by David Woofter, Woof and Dargon Gaming came to fruition after David and other family members rekindled their interested in the game, Magic the Gathering, also known as MAGIC. Magic the Gathering is the primary focus of Woof and Dargon Gaming. As time went on, and the family continued to play Magic the Gathering, Woofter began to do some research to see if there was still an interest for the game in the Clarksburg area. After recognizing there was still a demand for the game Woof and Dargon Gaming was established in 2016.

Woof and Dargon Gaming is a premier destination for gamers, allows them to have a space to come to and participate in games. MAGIC is a collectable card game where you build your deck to compete in tournaments. Woof and Dargon Gaming is a community place where people can come and learn the game, practice or participate in smaller tournaments. Woof and Dargon Gaming hosts tournaments at their Main Street location every Friday, known as Friday Night Magic with cards that have been collected. The cards are then split into formats so everyone plays at the same level. Magic the Gathering is comparable to a game of chess, but instead players have the opportunity to build their own strategies through the cards they play. Cards can cost $3.80 - $100,000, and a record sale of $87,000 was just made on Ebay for one card. “The cards are similar to the stock market’”, said Woofter. “You buy them while they are low, and then sell them when they have their ultimate value, and the value of the cards is constantly changing”, he continued. Magic the Gathering is produced by a diligent company who monitors their cards very closely.

Woof and Dargon Gaming also sells various other gaming cards and collectables such as; Force of Will, Pokémon, Dungeons and Dragons, and Yu-gi-oh!.  Woof and Dargon Gaming is located at 334 West Main Street, and their business hours can be found on their Facebook Page. Woof and Dargon Gaming’s website allows gamers to see what is in stock in store and also allows cards and collectables to be purchased online.
