Ritzy Lunch

Ritzy Lunch has been serving the area the “best darn hotdogs around” since 1933. Ritzy Lunch is the epitome of a family owned business. Three generations of Selarios have now owned and operated Ritzy Lunch, and continue to plan that future generations can continue the tradition.  Ritzy Lunch was established by Joseph Selario and his brothers John and Dominic Selario, but Joseph took full ownership around 1942. Ritzy Lunch was then operated by Joseph and his wife Mary Selario. In 1973 Ritzy Lunch was purchased by John Selario from his father. John owned Ritzy Lunch until 2001 when ownership was then obtained by his son Antonio Selario. John still continues to handle the day-to-day operations of Ritzy Lunch.

The walls of Ritzy Lunch have seen numerous historical events take place, Ritzy Lunch made it through the Great Depression, the end of prohibition, the first trip to the moon, and many other historic national and local events. There have been many rumors which have circulated over time that Ritzy Lunch was the first establishment in town to have both draft beer and television. The Ritzy Lunch hosted Friday night seafood dinners, with all the seafood you could image, for years. Ritzy Lunch is still in its original building, and not much of its structure has changed. It still displays the same booths and bar stools since its beginning.

The menu has changed over the years, but hotdogs have been a staple at the restaurant for years. Such a staple that they have earned the title the “best darn hotdogs around”. In addition to hotdogs, Ritzy Lunch hosts a full breakfast and lunch menu with many local favorites. You can also stop in Ritzy Lunch and pick up chili to take home in pint, quart, ½ gallon or gallon sizes. Ritzy Lunch offers catering and delivery services for large orders, and take out is also available. Ritzy Lunch has offered draft beer since their opening, but they have recently added wine to the menu.

Ritzy Lunch opens its doors Monday-Friday at 5a.m. for breakfast before closing down for the day at 5p.m. The Ritzy Lunch will periodically have extended hours to accommodate patrons based upon the Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center’s schedule. Ritzy Lunch is located at 456 W Pike St, Clarksburg. To view Ritzy Lunch’s full menu head on over to their website and to stay instantly connected be sure to follow them on Instagram @ritzylunch.
