The City of Clarksburg was recently recognized and awarded in honor of their partnership with Service Line Warranties of America. The City has partnered and offered their residents this convenience of the Service Line Program for over a decade.
Service Line Warranties takes the worry out of home repairs. Their repair plans offer protection for homeowners for external water and sewer lines and in-home plumbing and drainage.
The program is offered at no cost to the City and there are no public funds are used to promote or administer the program.
Service Line Warranties of America CEO, John Kitzie stated, “When a homeowner’s water line breaks or sewer line becomes blocked, it can be an overwhelming situation. All of a sudden, you’re looking at hundreds or even thousands of dollars for a problem you probably didn’t even know existed the day before,” Mr. Kitzie continued “While we can’t prevent pipes from breaking or being blocked, SLWA is there to relieve Clarksburg residents of the stress of finding a qualified contractor and the cost of completing the repair. We’re honored to have had the opportunity to serve homeowners in Clarksburg over these last ten years and look forward to serving them in the years to come.”
A little over ten years ago when we began discussing warranties to be offered to the public, it seemed to be a great fit since many homeowners believe that the pipes located on their property will last forever or that the City will repair the line if it breaks,” said City Manager Martin Howe. “That’s simply not the case. Many factors contribute to the life expectancy of a line such as tree root intrusion, ground shifting, weather and age – all factors which are covered through the Service Line Warranties of America protection program.”
