Byard-Mercer Pharmacy

Byard-Mercer logo

Byard-Mercer Pharmacy has been serving the Clarksburg community decade after decade. Previous owner Paul Rogers acquired Mercer’s Drugstore in the 1940s before his son James purchased the store off of him. Jim Rogers then purchased Byard’s Pharmacy in 1996. In 1997 the two pharmacies were merged together to establish Byard-Mercer Pharmacy and relocated to their current location on West Main Street. Currently owned and operated by the Rogers brothers, Daniel and Stacy, the pharmacy is under its third generation of ownership. Byard-Mercer Pharmacy has always been in Clarksburg and will continue to remain in Clarksburg and is currently the only independent drugstore in town.

As the community drugstore, Byard-Mercer provides their customers with delivery services that cannot be obtained at any major drugstore in the area. If prescriptions are called in before 11a.m., then the order will be delivered the same day. Being Clarksburg’s community drugstore, the employees at Byard-Mercer know their customers by name and have formed relationships with them. Customer service is a staple at the pharmacy and they go above and beyond to make sure their customers receive satisfactory care. Byard-Mercer offers personalized services for their customers depending on their medical needs.

Byard-Mercer offers all of the same services that a major chain drugstore would provide its customers, such as flu shots, and provides all of the same price for over the counter products to their customers as they would be able to find in a chain store. Owner Daniel Rogers has begun assisting in free consultations for enrolling customers in Medicare Part D.

Byard-Mercer also carries Yankee Candles and other gift items. All gift items are handpicked which gives them a more personal feel. Gift items are not the only merchandise in the store that are handpick, staff takes the time to handpick each greeting card, which gives them a more personal feel. “As Seen on TV” items can also be purchased at the store.

Byard-Mercer Pharmacy is located at 440 W.Main St, Clarksburg and is open Monday-Friday: 8:30a.m.-6:30p.m. | Saturday: 9a.m.-4p.m. | Sunday: 9a.m.-12p.m. Customers also have the luxury of refilling their prescriptions online at
